At E3, Sony seemed to overshadow Microsoft with their huge boasts of features for their PS3 system and their PS3 game demos. As usual, its time for Sony to quietly reduce the specs on their new game machine to lower costs so that people will actually buy their machine instead of flocking to the Xbox 360. Did I mention that their system will probably still be more than the X360, which Jim Allard at MS has stated will be around $300 US? In the article, its rumored Sony is cutting the standard hard drive from shipping with the PS3 in favor of the add-on flavored drive they released late in the PS2's life cycle. Do any of you PS2 owner's butts still hurt from having to buy that little add-on to speed up some of the latest games?

What's next to shave off? The dual HD adapter? Maybe a couple of the USB ports? 1 of the 2 Ethernet ports? Don't be surprised the next time you see a screenshot of Killzone 2 and it seems drastically different than the E3 presentation.

As Console Wars round 2 gears up, it looks like this time Sony may be playing catch up to Microsoft, thats if Nintendo's Revolution doesn't take second with its capability to play or download any Nintendo game ever made. I know if I could download every Legend of Zelda and Metroid game to my console, and play my gamecube titles, I'd be on that like flies on a dung heap.

So apparently today the all-knowing, all-powerful MPAA decided to sue 6 BitTorrent sites that were offering TV torrents to download shows, citing copyright infringement. Good work guys, you've shown once again what retarded knobs you can really be. Maybe if you showed your broadcasts at multiple times or when people who aren't physically attached to their couches were home, people wouldn't "illegally" download them. Or maybe if you removed your heads from your asses long enough, you would throw together a business model for online distribution of the crack you feed us through our cable boxes and start making back some of the money us "illegal traders" "steal" from you. I mean, if you can convince us to pay for something that we get for FREE OVER THE AIR, more money (er, power) to you. I understand you're upset that people are pirating your Sopranos and Queer as Folk, and you should be. Those are only offered on networks that people pay for, but if I miss the end of Lost because of your penchant to sue, I'm pretty sure I'll be quite pissed (in fact, I'd go so far as to say that I would cancel my pre-order of the DVD set.) I know you're annoyed that you couldn't stop Tivo from letting me skip all of the crappy adverts you got paid to air. I mean, why else would you be lobbying so hard for the broadcast flag? Stick your flag in your ass, Mr. Glickman.

p.s. Please tell your buddies at ABC to stop airing their shows from **:01 to **:02 to stop Tivo's all around the country from getting shows from multiple channels. Gaylords.

Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict - Xbox

After playing UC2 for awhile, I have to admit that the idea of being able to switch from 3rd to 1st person and back again, all while bouncing off walls and wielding your gun/knife is pretty fun. Is it better than the original UC? Sadly, it is not. Being limited to only 2 weapons during a match really takes the fun out of finding the good weapons and kicking the crap out of everyone. If everyone starts with the sniper rifle, rocket launcher or flak cannon, where's the challenge? Another component of the gameplay that falls short is the melee combat. Having to switch weapons and then perform some strange button combo in the middle of a firefight is really cumbersome, and that flak sticking out of your back from the other participants really kinda stings. Adding multiplayer over Xbox live with a maximum occupancy of 8 is really the icing on the cake. Instead of the blazing, white knuckle battle that you should get with an Unreal Championship game, UC 2 just leaves you fighting to re-equip your gun in time.

Of course this is just my opinion. The guys over at Gamespot had a different one, just call me old school. 6/10

3. If you rent a movie, chances are it has the name of the business on it. Reading a little can stop you from being a fucking asshat.

Looks like Halo 2 matchmaking is about to become fun again. On 4/18/05 (this monday) Bungie is releasing the much-anticipated update to fix alot of the issues and cheats losers were exploiting to win and gain rank...oh, and they're resetting the leaderboards too. Take that bastards.
